The Yoga 7 Studio in the large hall of St Peter’s Village Hall is situated right next to Tesco St Peter’s. Our yoga classes in St Peter’s Worcestershire are perfect for Yoga as it is, warm, bright and airy and there’s plenty of free parking either in front of the building or on the Tesco car park. There are also cycle-racks close by and a great bus route running to and from the City Centre.
Yoga Classes St Peter’s Worcestershire
The Yoga classes here are suitable for both complete beginners and those with an established yoga practise. Options are given when we do the Asana, the physical bit, according to how you feel on the day. Remember the body is constantly changing so, it’s important to listen to your body. Experiencing discomfort is encouraged, but never pain and, only you know what pain feels like.
You will experience the benefits of proper breathing techniques in Yoga 7 classes, such as deep abdominal breathing and alternate nostril breathing (anuloma viloma). Kapalbhati breathing techniques are also practised for those already familiar with alternate nostril breathing but, this is an advanced breathing technique and not to be practised at home.
This yoga class always ends with a short Yoga Nidra, known in the West, as a guided relaxation of 5 minutes. Please bring a blanket to get the most out of the relaxation at the end of the class, not because the studio is cold but because the body temperature cools significantly after the physical bit.
Yoga mat, blocks and straps can be provided, although you are encouraged to use your own, particularly to help you practise at home in between classes.
Yoga 7 classes run throughout the year so there’s no need to interrupt your Yoga Practise over the school holidays. We are closed on Bank Holidays.

This is the most brilliant class. Clare is just so nice, friendly and patient with “oldies” like me. There is no pressure and everything is explained really well. The time flies by. I would recommend this class to everyone whatever your age.

Monday morning yoga with Claire is the perfect start to the week! There’s no pressure or competitiveness in the class and plenty of ways to do the posture that feels best for you on the day. I feel flexible, alert and refreshed after a session and ready to tackle anything. Online classes have worked really well and allowed me to take time out for myself while still doing work from home – so important in these strange times!

I have been attending Claire’s yoga class at St Peter’s on a Monday morning for some time now and find it the perfect way to start the week. She explains and demonstrates very clearly always giving higher and lower options for the postures. Claire has for the foreseeable future transferred her classes online due to covid 19. They are just as enjoyable and you now get the same quality class as you would attending in person. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to try her classes.

She is always punctual, cheerful and very explicit in her instructions an d incorporates all the ethics of yoga in her classes which just flow along. I really look forward to my Yoga session on a Monday morning. Over the couple of years or so that I have been attending the class, the physical and mental benefits have been significant. My back pain has gone, and my breathing is much easier, helping to keep my hayfever in check. Also at 70 + now is the time to make sure you keep mobile and fit. Claire is a great ambassador for the practice, and takes care of you every step of the way, encouraging you to push yourself, but at the same time keeping you in your comfort zone. I would recommend Yoga 7 to anybody. And now Claire offers on-line classes so you can practice in the safely of your home. Thank you Claire.

A few years ago I joined Yoga7 at the St Peter’s Monday morning class with Claire and really enjoyed the classes. Unfortunately, I needed to stop for a while for personal reasons.
At the beginning of the Lockdown I realised that this was the perfect time for me to restart the Yoga7 classes with Claire and gently improve my physical and mental health.
I have aimed to join Claire two or three times a week for classic and traditional yoga practice, which includes proper breathing techniques, postures…. some of the postures I find challenging, however, Claire shows you options for your own ability. This is followed by relaxation at the end…. which is amazing…. all via Zoom online in your own home.
